By accessing or using the AffluentRides website, mobile application, or any affiliated service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms contained in this Disclaimer. This document should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy

1. Nature of Services

AffluentRides provides a technology-driven mobility platform that facilitates the booking of chauffeur-driven vehicles. The platform serves both individuals and businesses seeking luxury, executive or mid-tier transportation services.

While a limited number of vehicles listed on the platform may be directly owned or operated by AffluentRides, the majority of vehicles are owned and managed by independent third-party car owners. AffluentRides acts as an intermediary that connects renters to these providers and enables transactions through its platform infrastructure.

AffluentRides is not a transportation company, commercial vehicle operator, or logistics firm as defined by regulatory law. All driver services are coordinated in accordance with the vehicle owner’s arrangements and subject to platform guidelines.

2. Financial Transactions and Payment Processing

AffluentRides does not directly hold or manage user funds on behalf of renters or car owners. All monetary transactions conducted through the platform are securely processed through regulated third-party payment service providers.

These third-party providers are solely responsible for the custody, security, and transmission of funds. By using the platform, users acknowledge that:

  • AffluentRides facilitates transactions but does not operate as a money-handling or fund-management entity.
  • Payments are subject to the processing timelines, terms, and operational procedures of our partnered payment processors.
  • Any delays, failures, or errors in transaction processing attributable to external services fall outside our direct control.

While we will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving transaction-related issues, we do not assume financial responsibility for payment partners' actions.

3. Internal Balance System

AffluentRides provides an internal balance system that facilitates the operational flow of payments between renters, car owners, and the platform. The nature and use of internal balances are governed by the following terms:

For Car Owners

  • Internal balances reflect earnings only from completed or confirmed bookings.
  • Car owners cannot manually fund their balance or use it for platform purchases.
  • Payouts can only be made to a designated Nigerian bank account after verification.
  • Funds within the internal balance are non-transferable and do not accrue interest.

For Renters:

  • Renter balances may consist of prepaid funds, promotional credits, or adjustments applied by AffluentRides.
  • These balances are non-withdrawable and may only be used to pay for services within the platform.
  • No cash value is assigned to balances, and unused credits are subject to expiration in accordance with platform policy.
  • Refunds to renters, when applicable, will be processed in line with our Refund Policy and may return to the original payment method rather than the internal wallet.

4. Third-Party Services

AffluentRides relies on various independent third-party service providers to perform key functions, including but not limited to:

  • Payment processing
  • Identity verification
  • Location and mapping services
  • Communications infrastructure

While every effort is made to ensure the reliability and integrity of these services, AffluentRides is not liable for any errors, failures, service disruptions, or losses arising from third-party operations or negligence.

Users acknowledge that the performance of certain features or transactions may be impacted by third-party system availability or external regulatory actions.

5. Platform Availability and Information Accuracy

AffluentRides endeavors to provide a high-availability service platform and to maintain accurate, up-to-date information across all listings and user interfaces. However:

  • The platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” and AffluentRides makes no warranties regarding continuous operation, error-free functionality, or uninterrupted access.
  • Certain information, including but not limited to vehicle descriptions, user profiles, and uploaded documentation, is submitted by third parties. While AffluentRides performs quality control and verification checks, we cannot guarantee that all user-submitted content will be free of error, misrepresentation, or omission.

In the event of inaccuracies or suspected fraudulent listings, users are encouraged to report such content for immediate review and corrective action.

6. Limitation of Liability

While AffluentRides exercises due diligence in the development and delivery of its services, the platform operates within certain legal and technical boundaries. Accordingly, AffluentRides shall not be held liable for:

  • Missed bookings, financial losses, or reputational harm arising from scheduling errors, late vehicle arrivals, or last-minute cancellations
  • Incorrect or outdated information submitted by users, including vehicle documents and identity details
  • Delays or failed transactions attributable to payment processors, banks, or network disruptions
  • Unauthorized access to user accounts resulting from insecure credentials, device misuse, or negligence
  • Any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages associated with use of the platform

In any event where AffluentRides is found to bear responsibility under applicable law, the extent of liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the user for the transaction giving rise to the claim.

7. Issue Resolution and Support

Users experiencing technical, operational, or financial issues while using the platform are encouraged to contact our support team promptly. All concerns will be handled with professionalism and confidentiality, and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve them fairly.

To raise an issue:

All support queries will be acknowledged within 1–2 business days, and resolutions will be provided as promptly as operational constraints allow.
